Real-time Results for Class, School, and District Management

An important part of the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt solution is the Iowa Assessments™, whose strong psychometrics are:

  • Great for seeing where every child's reading level stands
  • Useful for identifying where each child is on the growth line
  • Compatible with easyCBM™ for diagnosis and monitoring

Iowa Assessments

The Iowa Assessments have been designed, developed, and researched to support a variety of important educational purposes. The information you collect may be for individuals or groups of students. Examples of appropriate uses of results from the Iowa Assessments include identifying student strengths and weaknesses, informing instruction, measuring mastery of core standards, and implementing Response to Intervention (RtI).

Evaluate Student and Teacher Progress

The Iowa Assessments are also useful in evaluations of student and teacher growth following a term's instruction. For students, you can take advantage of multiple measures of individual student growth. For teachers, the Leadership and Learning Center® can assist in developing a Professional Growth Plan using aggregated measures of student growth forfair and credible teacher evaluation.
